At Pinehurst, ten 18-hole courses, the Thistle Dhu putting course and a short course aptly named The Cradle offer those who love the game a chance to walk in the footsteps of the sport’s legends. Test your mettle. Hone your skills. Feel like Nicklaus, Palmer or Stewart, if only for a while.

Caddies

Playing at Pinehurst is a dream for many golfers, and our knowledgeable caddies are adept at helping them bring it to life. Hole after hole, they’ll share their insights, offer their advice and ensure both your score and your experience are the best they can possibly be. To ensure you don’t miss out on this integral part of the Pinehurst experience, please request your caddie at the time of your reservation.

Also, in order to promote pace of play and protect the health of our caddies, we ask that you utilize a single-strap bag weighing less than 24 total pounds. If your bag exceeds these requirements, you may be asked to use a provided change-out bag for your round.

CADDIEMASTER® is the provider of caddie services for Pinehurst Resort.

CADDIE FEES
Caddie fees are paid upon check-in at the golf shop. Most guests typically share a caddie between two players.

Caddie: $80 per player
Forecaddie: $40 per player
Single Bag: $100

GRATUITY POLICY
Our recommended caddie gratuity is $60 and up per bag for a walking caddie, $35 per bag and up for a forecaddie, and $60 for a single bag (confirmed day of play only).

GOLF CARTS
Golf carts are required to stay on the cart paths on both Pinehurst No. 2 and No. 4. Golfers riding these courses experience a considerable amount of walking due to the distances from path to the course.

Carts are allowed to ride the fairways of all other courses, except No. 10. Course No. 10 is walking only.

PUSH CARTS
Push carts are available on a first come first serve basis at each golf course.

Practice Facilities

The Driving Range at Maniac Hill is modified to allow members and guests to hit into a temporary net while U.S. Open construction occurs through March 2025.

70 years ago, Tommy Armour claimed that the practice area at Pinehurst is, “…to golf what Kitty Hawk is to flying.” Given that Donald Ross is credited with inventing the driving range, and changing the way golf is played in the process, the comparison is an apt one. This fully equipped, expertly staffed and meticulously maintained facility is the perfect place to improve your long game, short game and chance of lowering the number on your scorecard while at Pinehurst.
